We continue a series of creative webinars for teens. On May 12, at 7 p.m., the artist Prokopiy Ulyashov will conduct an online lesson on comics.
You will learn about the history of comics from the end of the 19th century to the present, about famous people who are authors and fans of drawn stories, you will understand the differences in approaches to this format of drawing in different countries — from West to East, take a look behind the scenes of the comic strip “How I read the media, ”which Prokopiy creates specifically for our project, combining the topics of media literacy and the current agenda.
You will find the practical part — you can participate in the creation of the comic. Finally, Procopiy will share with the participants in the webinar his personal top 7 alternative comics for teenagers, in which (almost) there is no place for superheroes in leotards. “Reading comics is not a shame,” says the artist.
Prokopiy Ulyashov became known after he published a series of works on social networks in which he presented the characters of famous Russian cartoons in the images of the heroes of the series “Game of Thrones”. After that, he was invited to work at the Soyuzmultfilm studio. Prokopiy is also the initiator and creative director of the Syr-Kon festival of fans of popular culture and science fiction in Syktyvkar.
