Impressions by the mother of our workshop’s participant in Chelyabinsk
Inna’s mother, post on Instagram:
nastasya_du Can you read the media? Do you know what cyberbullying is? Chelyabinsk’s Educational Center #2 hosted the seminar “How to Read Media?” for future bloggers organized by Goethe-Institut. So, I’ll just quote my daughter Inna below:
"Mom, the trainers are mega cool! They told us about cyberbullying and how to react to it (it turns out that it’s the trolling on social media). With the forest and hedgehogs as examples :) they explained how Yandex and Google do their searching – they are looking for new information. Mom, it turns out that you can find a less known song online – you just put the lyrics with quotation marks in the search engine. And if you want to check the information without popping-up ad banners, then there is also quite an easy way to do it… Mom, if only you could see the level of how everything was prepared and precisely planned! And the atmosphere was so cozy, they treated us as equals, the information was given to us in an understandable language, easy for teenagers – all cases and examples were presented in a playful form… Everyone had his own computer and we immediately tried to practice the knowledge we gained. We even made our own video..."
The event lasted 3 days, and if my child hadn’t been interested, she wouldn't have woken uop so early on the second day to be ready for the event on time. (I know my little star #innalittlestar)
For me as a mom – it was such a pleasure to see that reaction from the child to quite a serious training! I would like to thank organizers for an interesting approach and presentation of the workshop #howtoreadmedia and for a wonderful idea to share this cool project with the children from different cities! Thank you @howtoreadmedia #nastasyaD #exactly into the ❤ of mom
